Come, cook, drink, and eat at this Moroccan feast—Lydia Mande will lead us in discovering the layered flavors of this rich cuisine. She will demonstrate the technique while we enjoy the food.
Together, you will learn how to prepare: Harira—a satisfying winter soup featuring lentils, chickpeas, a touch of beef and lamb, a saffron chicken with preserved lemon and olives, and a side of shredded carrots, oranges spiced with cumin to freshen the palate.
After dinner, we have a special guest appearance by Spirits Specialist and Educator, Jake Cahill of Skurnik Wines & Spirits.Together we will enjoy a Moroccan coffee-inspired cocktail that will complement this meal beautifully! The total experience will blow you away!

ABOUT the teacher | Lydia was born in Casablanca, Morocco where she learned to cook in a home that always welcomed guests from the family, synagogue, and neighborhood. Her earliest food memories are shopping the market with her grandfather for Shabbat meals. Lydia continues her family food traditions as a private caterer and home chef. She adapts recipes with a modern twist for ease, health, and always serves family style.
